How I Get Ready For Work!

10.03.2013

So I filmed this video YESTERDAY before I left for work and didn't get to edit until really late last night. If you want to see how I get ready for one of my jobs in the morning, watch the video below or read on for more information about the products I use! xoxo

Before I started filming I used my ProActiv Three Step System, moisturized with Olay Anti-Aging Moisturizer and primed my face with Benefit's Porefessional.

-- Foundation: Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation in 200 Sand Beige & 370 Natural Tan. I mixed these two products on the back of my hand and applied all over my face with a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush
-- To absorb any excess foundation I used a paper towel (Kleenex will also work) by patting my face lightly where needed
-- Using Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair I concealed my under eye area by applying the product in a triangle shape. I also used this to highlight my forehead, down my nose, my cupid's bow and my chin. After setting my foundation/concealer with Urban Decay's Setting Spray I used the same concealer to prime my eyelids
-- To set my makeup I used Make Up For Ever HD Translucent Microfinish Powder on the areas I used my concealer, then went in with L'Oreal Truematch Pressed Powder in W3/W4 using a Real Techniques Powder Brush to set the rest of my face.

-- Eyes: Urban Decay Naked Palette (first edition). Applied the color Naked on my lids with a Real Techniques fluffy eye shadow brush, then switched brushes to apply Buck to my crease. I then went in with a pencil brush by Sonia Kashuk and applied the color Hustle to my outer v.
-- Using Too Faced Candlelight Duo Highlighter and a fluffy blending brush by Sonia Kashuk I applied the highlighter to my brow bone and the inner corner of my eye, then blended everything together
-- For my eyeliner I used my favorite liquid liner by L'Oreal (Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eye Liner) and topped off with a few coats of Maybelline's Rocket Volume Express mascara.

-- Contour/Blush: To contour my cheeks, forehead, nose and chin I applied Benefit's Hoola Bronzer with a Real Techniques Setting Brush and then applied my Milani blush (I'll have to check back with you on the color). I blended this together with a Real Techniques Powder Brush.

How do you clean your brushes? Especially the face brush?

    1. Thank you so much! I usually clean them with antibacterial soap...I get the brush wet (just the brush part), put a little soap in my hand and swirl the brush around in my hand to start getting the makeup off of it. Then I rinse the brush and repeat the whole process until it's clean. I usually lay them out on a towel to dry. Maybe I'll do a post/vlog about that! Thanks for stopping by :)

    2. I know using baby shampoo is a great way to clean them too...I just haven't gotten around to picking any up yet!
