Update & Wavy Hair Tutorial

11.04.2013

First, let me address the elephant in the...blog? I decided to change the name and design of my blog. I simply liked the sound of Glam Candy much better than The Queen Life and I found this amazing design at Mlekoshi Playground. I love it! I switched my Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube accounts over to Glam Candy as well, and links for those are in the side bar in case you were wondering! :)

.....

Now for the hair tutorial:

  1. Start by combing through your hair to get out any tangles
  2. Clip up most of your hair, leaving the bottom layer down
  3. Take your wand and position it behind your head (at sort of a downward angle), wrap about a one inch section of hair around the wand and hold for about 3-4 seconds (or longer if you want a tighter curl, but I like my curls to be looser and more wavy)
  4. Work around the bottom layer until all sections are curled, then let down another layer of hair and repeat until your hair is completely curled
  5. Take a teasing brush and start at the crown of your head, working in downward motions until you have achieved the desired volume. Continue to tease your hair, moving towards the front. Smooth out any hairs to clean up the look
  6. With a wide toothed comb, start at the ends of your hair and comb upwards to give the bottom of your hair more volume and to break up the curls and give them a wavier appearance
For extensions:
  1. After your hair is curled, start with the bottom layer again and clip up the rest of your hair. Take a weft and clip it in and curl with the wand as you did before clipping in the extensions
  2. Let down another layer and clip in another weft. Curl this weft the same way you curled the first one. Continue this process until you have the rest of your extensions in and until your hair is completely curled
  3. Touch up any curls with the wand to help blend your real hair with your extensions
  4. Again, if needed, tease at the crown and any other areas you want to have volume; you can tease the bottom of your hair with a wide tooth comb again or choose to leave it as is. Finish with hair spray if you'd like!
Hope you enjoyed! Stay tuned for more beauty videos and posts :)

xoxo
